| Nighthawk Ship 324 was involved in a short fire fight just south of the Chu-Lai airfield. Credit the pilot landing the aircraft with Hydraulic oil swirling inside during an emergency landing. | One round went through the floor, then past the 50 cal door gunner, then continued through the roof. |

| This is the round that killed 324. This round came between myself (Mario) and the Light man (Al). It hit a structural beam that rendered the aircraft unusable. Its the new hole is just below the white cable, center of the picture. | The kill shot continued through the ship then through the hydraulic reservoir. The hydraulic oil poured into the ship. |

| The pilot was also reminded this was reality. This is an armor plate that slides forward to protect the pilot. A round hit the plate 2 inches from the top of the plate.
