My uncle, Marc Johnvin, Was always proud of his time in F Troop. Between him and my dad, they were the big influencers for my decision to enlisting. Posted by William Johnvin on January 13, 2018 @ 5:38pm

Just met one of your pilots yesterday at Thanksgiving dinner Al Sabaka. I was a gunner on a Charlie model "The Mavericks" in Vinh Long. I will be flying out of your old airfield in March 2018 as I fly back to Saigon. It seems like such a long time ago and I think it was. Posted by John on November 24, 2017 @ 7:11am

Gentlemen, Thank you for your service to our country and to secure the freedoms that we enjoy as Americans. This Thursday, Nov. 9th, we we will have a Veterans’ Day program to honor all veterans, but one in particular was a member of the Blue Ghosts. His name is Sgt. Wendell Harkey, May 1966-Oct. 1967. Sgt. Harkey was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident several years ago. We will honor his service by presenting a properly folded American flag to his daughter, who is a teacher here at Battiest School in southeastern Oklahoma. May GOD bless you all each and every day, especially on this Veterans’ Day, 2017. Posted by Sixth Grade Students @ Battiest, OK Public School on November 7, 2017 @ 2:00pm

My Dad was F Troop/Blue Ghost 67/68…Pilot. His name was Jack Earwood. If you knew him I would live to hear from you. He passed away 1/21/2012. He love his fellow BG as much or more than his family. He was the ultimate soldier. My number is 770.895.8128. Posted by Kelly Earwood on May 29, 2017 @ 12:08pm

Tom T. Oliver was a door Gunner on Marvel/Marble ???? My. In 71/72. He always thought he would make it to a reunion with his fellow BlueGhost. Due to his liver three years ago this past March, his dream didn’t,get full-filled! Tom was proud of his service to our country and loved his fellow military family! If the VA in Columbia SC had sent him for a liver transplant, he might still be with us! Any of you wonderful vets who needs medical attention, go somewhere other than a VA hospital! Agent orange and the military hospital is what caused his death, in the end! God Bless you all !!!!

My brother David M. Higgins did 3 tours in Vietnam as a door gunner. He passed away in San Tan Village (Phoenix), AZ. I found Blue Ghost on his computer. He waited until my wife and I could arrive from Cheyenne, Wy before he finally passed. I did two tours in Vietnam with First Cav, I did the 68 Tet outside of Hue, then went to An Khe, then my second tour I did in Phouc Vinh. My brother was shot down in Phouc Vinh and chopper landed in Song Be river. He and I did a second tour at same time and he saw me then went on mission (Vung Tau) I was in hospital there got rocket, sent to Cam Rand Bay Convalesent Center which got overan by sapper battalion (on 25th inf page). went back to triangle returned to vung tau it got hit again so USAF medevaced entire hospital patients to Camp Drake, Japan. Then I got sent by Uncle Sam to someplace worse than Vietnam: Oakland, Ca. Posted by Steven J. Higgins on April 3, 2017 @ 1:34pm
